''And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.’’. (Genesis 2:10).

Eden is the garden of God. God put a river in there to water the plants in the garden, reaching other parts of the world too. Without the river, the Garden will be dry, drought will hit many. There will be no life all. No one can do without the river. We will always need water.

In the same vein, the life of a Christian is meant to be like Eden. God is His wisdom has placed a river within, to water and bless our lives and that of others. We need to be conscious of this goodness and take advantage of it. Psalm 46 and verse 4 says, ‘’There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. The streaming of this river is what makes our city or ‘lives’ glad. The Spirit of God in us is This River, streaming living waters into our inner recesses which in turn is reflected on the outside. We need to be conscious of this river and allow it to flow.

The Scriptures record this of our LORD  Jesus,

‘’In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.’’ (John 7:37,38).

We are living in the last days promised by God to receive the outpouring of His Spirit. It is the last days of God’s feasts or appointed times with man. Jesus said’’ if any man is thirsty, let him come unto me and drink.’’  Jesus is The One who gives us ‘’rivers of living waters’’ of His Spirit, which quenches all the thirsts we may have in life. He is The Living One who gives true Life!

Is your water dry, murky or bitter? Turn to Jesus for a fresh infilling and ‘’Out of your belly, will flow rivers of living water.’’ You will become a fountain of life to many.

Shalom!
